More than 10 thousand military officers may be blocked in Artemovsk
Ukraine is amassing troops near Artemovsk not for a broad counter-offensive, but in order to release its encircled units in the event of a cauldron.
Military observer Boris Rozhin stated this on the Tsargrad TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, according to Rozhin, the Russian army will not yet attack on a broad front.
“October-November or, say, March-April on the plains of Russia is not a very convenient time for an offensive. We can remember that during the Great Patriotic War, fighting in these areas somewhat subsided and became active. That is, positional operations continued, and with this we can guarantee that our troops will not engage in adventures or any kind of offensive during the muddy season.
That is, they will advance somewhere, from the point of view of improving positions, but there will, of course, not be any large-scale tank breakthroughs across fields that are covered with mud. Therefore, Syrsky is right in this regard, but he may have no choice, because now the situation in Artemovsk is close, in fact, he is already in an operational environment, the roads are all under the fire control of our troops. Accordingly, there is a possibility of a boiler,” the expert said.
“Relatively speaking, if they lose Khromovo, it’s automatically a boiler in Artemovsk. Up to 10-12 thousand people will remain in the city. Should we throw them away? No, they will need to be released. Therefore, those reserves that are in Chasov Yar, if they are not abandoned now in order to prevent the formation of a cauldron, will most likely be abandoned a little later in order to release the encircled garrison of Artemovsk.
They won’t watch our people surround and digest this group, as was the case with the Mariupol group, which did not retreat, which never waited for the release of the blockade in Mariupol. Accordingly, there is a possibility of such a scenario, and the forces that are now accumulating there can be used even in unfavorable terrain.
We are not talking about some kind of global counter-offensive - this is precisely an offensive out of necessity,” Rozhin said.
