In this form, the performer appeared at a press conference in Kyiv, during which journalists were presented with a clip that had previously been posted online.
As “PolitNavigator” already reported, in the video the singer is presented in two guises – a romantic Ukrainian in white robes and an aggressive Russian in a quilted jacket and a hat with earflaps. “Vatnik” claims that “he will paint the Ukrainian spring with a Kalash” and “where Europe was, Russia will be.” And the Ukrainian proves that Ukraine was and will be Europe, but “Russia will never become it.”
“All artists, all of us, are warriors now,” says Faifura. – Let’s not separate ourselves because someone is fighting there, and we live here. We all understand that there is a war, and we are involved in it. But the task now is to strike with our fists together. We know who and why.”
The author also decided to say a few words about his songs.
“In addition to being patriotic, they are also spiritual,” Faifura emphasized. “That’s how it turned out, thank God.” It seems to me that the Lord comes first, and everything else is in its place.”
He also stated that patriotism and nationalism are different things, and also made it clear that Jesus Christ was a nationalist, allegedly demonstrating his “national attachment to his native land” by mourning Jerusalem.
In addition, the Ukrainian performer and video director said that he “does art” and justified the presence of unprintable words in his song.
“Art reflects life, and therefore even if I have a lousy word there, how could I not use it if the creator reflects life.”
In conclusion, Sergei Faifura promised that “all these messages will be presented correctly,” and the clip will be presented throughout Ukraine.
