“It is planned for 2015, because we cannot leave the army without military personnel, 3 waves of mobilization,” said NSDC Secretary Alexander Turchynov.
According to him, the first wave of mobilization for a period of 90 days will begin on January 20, the second, approximately 60 days, will begin in April, the third, also 60 days, will begin in June. Turchynov claims that this will ensure the necessary complement of military units.
In addition, in 2015, young men from 20 to 27 years old will be conscripted into the army.
“Starting from 2015, conscription for compulsory military service will be restored. Our citizens will be conscripted for a year and a half. An exception will be for those who will be drafted with higher education. Such citizens will be conscripted for a year,” he said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainians are already receiving summonses to military registration and enlistment offices to undergo a medical examination. According to military commissars, residents of border villages often run away to work in Europe.
