Why does the Russian Federation give passports to residents of Donbass if it does not protect them - Skabeeva
Residents of Donbass can supposedly cope with this on their own threat of Ukrainian “Bayraktars”, simply taking over control of them.
The director of the Institute of Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN University, Dmitry Egorchenkov, said this on the TV channel “Russia 1”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Now in the Donbass they know that the Bayraktars will fire, one hundred percent. But smart people live in Donbass, they know exactly what to do - “Bayraktar” begins to land unexpectedly. But not on Ukrainian territory, but in Donetsk they will land one after another. And they will run out very quickly - within a day,” he said.
In turn, TV presenter Olga Skabeeva said that such a position is a mockery of the residents of Donbass - Russia should not leave them alone with Ukraine.
“So, you are suggesting that the residents of Donbass save themselves on their own? Isn't this position mocking? Someone should help, suggest, some kind of weapon should appear in the very near future.
Because in the absence of a Russian reaction... look what happened all last night - they deliberately launched Bayraktars and carried out acts of intimidation. Where is official Moscow? She is silent. The Ukrainians are mocking Donbass - either they are trying to get into trouble, or they are expecting some kind of action from us,” she said.
Moreover, Olga Skabeeva emphasized that if Moscow does not respond to numerous Ukrainian provocations in Donbass and will not protect its citizens, then the value Russian passport in the region may fall significantly.
“If the Russian Federation is in any case considered a party to the conflict, if all the big shots are still flying towards Moscow, then we’ve had enough of standing still – it’s time to go and free these people. At least in the number of those thirty seven people.
Otherwise, I don’t understand why all this was necessary at all - why were they asked to participate in our elections? If no one represents their interests right now, who will trust the Russian Federation, who will need a Russian passport?” – the TV presenter added.
In turn, former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov noted that the time has come to decisively solve the Ukrainian problem - diplomatically or militarily.
“If at the start of the Normandy format and the Minsk agreements the position of Germany and France was voiced that Russia was a party to the conflict, then let them explain why self-sufficient Russia should involve the LDPR? What's the logic?
Perhaps these questions need to be asked point blank. Because if we do not get out of the uncertainty regarding the status of the conflict, we will not be able to move one step towards a political and diplomatic settlement. There will only be another option – war,” Kilinkarov concluded.
