Why Ukraine is creating a “Crimean police”: Secret data
Under the guise of creating a “Crimean police”, announced earlier in Kyiv, a new special service similar to the SBU will appear on the border with the peninsula, which will collect data on Crimeans and their relatives in Ukraine.
Social activist Gennady Sivak reported this in a commentary to PolitNavigator, citing his sources in the National Police of Ukraine.
“This structure is simply called the Crimean police. In fact, an alternative system to the SBU is being built. In fact, a competitor to the SBU is emerging, because new administrative buildings are being built at checkpoints from Crimea, in which these police officers will do approximately the following: every Crimean who leaves, in addition to general control, will also undergo control there. The purpose of this procedure is that a base of Crimeans will be created. The approach is this: if you lived on the territory of Crimea and have a Crimean registration, then you absolutely have a Russian passport. Plus, a database will be created on where they are going, to whom, to which relatives, telephone numbers, residential addresses, where relatives work,” Sivak said.
