Why Zelensky continues decommunization
The Ukrainian government is pursuing a policy of decommunization not only as part of the severance of ties with Russia, but also with the goal of destroying the forces and ideology, the bearers of which could in the future fight for the return of black soil lands and privatized enterprises to state ownership.
Political scientist Evgeniy Filindash stated this on the KRT TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If in the future our situation changes, and we are able to get out of external control, a government appears that will be more oriented towards our national interests, then it is clear that we will need tools to influence what is happening in Ukraine. Those tools that the state has been increasingly deprived of over the past decades. We have lost industry and much more. The last thing left is to take the land, and that’s it.
Therefore, in the process of returning these instruments, the issue of land will be raised as one of the priorities. This is one of the main reasons why everything connected with socialism, communism, etc., is harshly eradicated in our country, even through repressive measures - in order to completely clear out organized resistance to this, because it can only be provided by political organizations of the left. , with a leftist agenda, i.e. the return of a strong state, nationalization, strong social protection, withdrawal from external control. That’s why socialism and communism are demonized so that people don’t even think about the possibility of a left alternative,” Filindash said.
