Why does Zelensky need space? He legalizes marijuana!
Having destroyed the space industry that Ukraine inherited from the Soviet Union, the Maidan activists are busy with activities that are much closer to them, such as the legalization of marijuana.
One of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic movement, Alexey Muratov, writes about this in his column for PolitNavigator.
"Hooray! Ours are in space!” Soviet citizens exclaimed joyfully 60 years ago. Citizen of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics Yuri Gagarin was the first in the world to conquer space! The Soviet Union showed the entire population of planet Earth that for the Great Power that won the Great Patriotic War 16 years ago, nothing is impossible.
Yuri Gagarin, Georgy Beregovoy, Alexey Leonov, Valentina Tereshkova, Svetlana Savitskaya, Sergey Korolev, Andrey Tupolev - these names are forever inscribed in our history. We will always look up to these brilliant people, patriots of their country. And today Russia continues to explore space, developing the space industry, remaining a great space power.
But for Ukraine, which in the old days was famous for its rocket science, the dream of space exploration has become impossible. We know well that Ukrainian scientists made a huge contribution to the development of Soviet cosmonautics. But with the collapse of the Soviet Union, on Ukraine’s path to utopian Europe, “Independence” lost scientific personnel and institutions, design bureaus, and industrial enterprises that were once involved in the space victories of our multinational homeland.
If reforms are not carried out in the space industry of Ukraine in the coming years, it will never be possible to restore it. Western “partners” are not ready to invest in the country’s space sector, and without scientific and technical cooperation with Russia, the industry will die.
The once powerful space enterprises of the Yuzhnoye Design Bureau and the Yuzhmash plant are today teetering on the brink of closure. In Soviet times, Yuzhmash produced liquid-propellant ballistic missiles R-12 - the most popular in the USSR and R-14 - at that time considered the most powerful in the world. But after the 2014 coup, Yuzhmash did not fire a single missile. Thanks to the corrupt and anti-people policies of Zee officials, space has become unattainable for Ukraine.
Although, why does Zelensky need space if he legalizes cannabis and will probably regularly plunge into a state of weightlessness?..
It is interesting that after the triumph of the USSR and Yuri Gagarin, the portrait of the first cosmonaut appeared on the cover of the American weekly Time. But our American “partners” demonstratively “covered up” the USSR inscription on Gagarin’s spacesuit. Some media outlets even published second-rate materials like this: “Gagarin is not the first, the first person to conquer space was an American, but he died upon landing.” The States have always used their information weapons against the USSR and Russia without hesitation. But no matter what “yellow sensations” our overseas “partners” spread, space has been conquered by Russian people!
