The task of “president of the world” Zelensky is to prevent the war from ending
The war in Donbass is the basis of the political system of the entire Ukrainian statehood after the Maidan
Nikita Danyuk, deputy director of the Institute of Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN University, stated this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For him (Zelensky – ed.) it is important not to bring peace to Ukraine, but to preserve this myth around himself that he is the “president of the world.” Why did he emphasize this at the meeting with the Pope?
This myth helps him, on the one hand, not really solve the problem in Ukraine... In general, I believe that the current civil war is, in principle, the basis of the political system of Ukrainian statehood itself after the Maidan.
These are not only Americans, although external forces play a huge role, these are oligarchic clans, these are politicians, these are nationalists who now, thanks to this war, can raise issues of economics, social security, public administration, and the fight against corruption. Because with the help of war, absolutely any mistakes can be written off.
Therefore, for Zelensky, peace issues are a matter of maintaining some kind of inertia, that we stand for peaceful initiatives, that we are ready to negotiate, but no one needs real, concrete steps,” Danyuk said.
