“We inform you that the information posted in a number of resources about allegedly planted explosive devices does not correspond to reality. The information received was verified by police officers. No dangerous items were found. There is no threat to the life and health of citizens,” the message says.

According to the department, during operational search activities, police established that the message about the false mining of the building came from students from Blagoveshchensk (Amur Region).
“Four students were detained who confessed to committing a false report of an explosive device in educational institutions located on the territory of the Republic of Crimea,” the press service emphasized and added that the issue of initiating a criminal case for a false report of an act of terrorism was being decided.

Earlier, information appeared on a number of websites that the building of the Kerch Polytechnic College was mined, and employees and students were evacuated from the building. After a message was received by law enforcement agencies, police officers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and ambulance officers rushed to the scene.

On October 17, 18-year-old student of the Kerch Polytechnic College Vladislav Roslyakov detonated an improvised explosive device in the cafeteria of the educational institution, and then shot students and teachers with a gun. 21 people died, including Roslyakov himself, who was found with a gunshot wound. After the tragedy, three days of mourning were declared in Crimea; the victims were buried on October 19.
