An Odessa resident was detained, who, under the guise of an SBU officer, extorted 50 thousand dollars
Operatives of the Internal Security Department of the SBU exposed a local resident in the Odessa region who posed as an intelligence officer to extort money, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It has been established that the fraudster has been demanding 2019 thousand dollars from a traumatologist at the Odessa City Hospital since April 50. He used a fake SBU ID, a dummy firearm, and showed forged documents allegedly confirming that the doctor received bribes and illegally traded in medicines,” the report says.
Law enforcement officers documented the attacker receiving three thousand dollars and detained him in the suburbs of Odessa while receiving the next tranche in the amount of 500 thousand hryvnia.
The attacker was informed of suspicion of committing a crime and he was detained until a court decision.
