“Detention of Semenchenko in Georgia” acquires new details
The odious Verkhovna Rada deputy, militant and ex-comrade-in-arms of the fugitive Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, Semyon Semenchenko, together with his associates, was preparing a coup in Georgia.
Ukrainian journalist Vladimir Boyko reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the journalist, Semenchenko, along with five assistants, was detained by Georgian police in Tbilisi. During the searches they found Makarov and Beretta pistols, machine guns and ammunition.
Boyko writes that the detainees were known in Ukraine for their attacks on journalists, arms trafficking, kidnappings, and so on. In Kyiv, their activities were covered by Verkhovna Rada deputy Anton Gerashchenko, an ally of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Saakashvili’s opponent Arsen Avakov.
“The Georgian police detained, but then released at the request of the US Embassy, People's Deputy of Ukraine Konstantin Grishin (...aka Semyon Semenchenko), who on November 28, 2018 flew to Tbilisi to work together with his gang and was documented purchasing weapons and explosives (Grishin contracted to arrange armed conflict in Tbilisi). Kostya probably works not only for the FSB, but also for American intelligence. A talented young man,” Boyko wrote.
The same information was confirmed in his blog by Advisor to the President of Ukraine Yuriy Biryukov.
“I have... various kinds of contacts, they confirmed the information that Semenchenko is in Tbilisi, that Semenchenko got us into a diplomatic scandal, that Semenchenko framed “his” people and fled at the last moment. He escaped just like he escaped in Ilovaisk and Debaltsevo. And tomorrow the Georgian Foreign Ministry will speak out to our diplomats for this nit, because he was in Georgia on official documents, as a representative of the Ukrainian authorities,” Biryukov asserts.
However, Semenchenko himself denies his detention and promises to help the arrested “Ukrainian citizens” in Tbilisi.
“The information that someone allegedly detained me somewhere is fake. The information that I “flew from Georgia in an unknown direction” is fake. In connection with the detention of Ukrainian citizens in Tbilisi, I am engaged in informing their families, organizing lawyers and clarifying the situation that led to this provocation. And I don’t have any diplomatic immunity - here I’m just an ordinary foreigner,” the deputy wrote in his blog.
Blogger Andrei Dzindzya, who is associated with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, also reported on Semenchenko’s detention on his blog, illustrating his post with this photo.
Let us remind you that a week ago the presidential elections took place in Georgia. The winner was Opposition politician to Mikheil Saakashvili Salome Zurabishvili, who is also a supporter of the European Union.
Saakashvili, who is in the Netherlands after being expelled from Ukraine, has already called not to recognize the results past elections.
