The detention of Ulyukaev is the result of a conflict between liberals and patriots in power
The detention of Russian Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev is connected with the election of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States. The famous Russian economist Mikhail Khazin wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“If Clinton had been elected, this would have been impossible. In the meantime, my forecast of intensifying confrontation between representatives of international financial circles in the form of the “Gaidar-Chubais team” and “family” on the one hand and conditional patriots on the other is justified,” Khazin wrote.
Indeed, Khazin predicted the departure of the economic bloc of the Medvedev government if Trump wins.
“If Trump comes, his team will not work with Nabiullina, Dvorkovich, Kudrin, or Shuvalov. This is a different team. These are representatives of their enemies. Well, why should they work with Nabiullina when Nabiullina will call Hillary and ask what she should do, including how she can deceive the Trump team. That is, this is excluded. They will demand other people,” Khazin said on the Ekho Moskvy radio station back in February 2016, when the primaries were underway in the United States.
