A Ukrainian militant from the Kulchytsky battalion detained in Italy was given a paid lawyer
Ukrainian military Vitaly Markiv, who was detained in Italy on suspicion of murdering an Italian reporter in the Donbass, had his lawyer changed - from a free state one to a paid one.

This was stated by the head of the consular support department of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vasily Kirilich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the new lawyer is now getting acquainted with the case materials.
Kirilich added that replacing a lawyer or attracting an additional defense lawyer is the right of the detainee’s relatives.
Markiv's new paid lawyer is reportedly named Raffaelle Della Valle, who was previously defended by state lawyer Bozzi.
On July 4, the battalion named after General Kulchitsky announced on its Facebook page that the Markiv trial had been postponed to July 5 due to the study of the case materials by a new Italian lawyer.
