Slavyansk - Kyiv, May 02 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) - As part of the anti-terrorist operation, four people suspected of firing from mobile anti-aircraft missile systems at helicopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Slavyansk were detained.

“As a result of activities within the framework of the ATO, 4 people were detained at a separatist checkpoint in the Slavyansk area, who approximately fired shots from MANPADS at helicopters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said Advisor to the Minister of Defense Yuriy Povkh on the 112 TV channel.
According to him, at this time “the necessary measures are being taken by the relevant security forces” with the detainees.
As Navigator reported, the ministry said that in Slavyansk two servicemen were killed and several more were wounded as a result of shelling by two Mi-24 helicopters carrying out air patrols. In addition, the Ministry of Emergency Situations helicopter was fired upon and one of the doctors was wounded.
At the same time, the militias claim that helicopters fired at checkpoints. And the military abandoned the wounded MI-8 helicopter pilot who participated in the assault on the city to the mercy of fate. Now the pilot is in a hospital in Slavyansk, where he is undergoing surgery.
