Killers of Russian servicemen detained
Russian special services detained two militants in Chechnya who were part of terrorist groups in the 1990s.
The FSB public relations center reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and with the force support of the Russian Guard, guided by the principle of the inevitability of punishment, detained and brought to the preliminary investigation body natives of the Chechen Republic Idalov Aslanbek and Idalov Salambek - participants in the clash on October 4, 1999 in as part of the armed forces of Sh. Basaev and E. Khattab with military personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense at the station. Chervlyonnaya, Shelkovsky district of the Chechen Republic, during which 15 military personnel were killed and 28 were injured,” the report says.
It is clarified that the search for other participants in armed clashes with the federal military who escaped punishment continues.
The criminal case is being investigated under the articles “Banditry”, “Armed rebellion” and “Encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer”.
