“Fix - and continue to strike” - a naval officer on today’s strikes on Ukraine
The activity of the air defense system should not slow down after today’s attacks on the infrastructure of Ukraine, despite the fact that it is necessary to act humanely, as befits a Russian soldier.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by military expert, first-rank reserve captain Sergei Gorbachev.
“It is difficult to assess the real situation, including the damage that was caused today, based on media reports and analysis of various types of social networks. Those meager pictures that are shown on TV or in instant messengers are taken from a phone and do not make it possible to come to any definite conclusions, with the exception of one thing – that the strike was massive and was delivered to different places in the state of Ukraine,” the expert noted. “Therefore, I would not speak complimentarily about what happened, but would only state that, finally, there was revival at the front.
And this gives hope that our activity will continue to be high. Moreover, I would like this activity to be not only high, but to increase daily.”
Gorbachev recalled that during the 7 months of the North Military District it was possible to observe attacks on various kinds of infrastructure, including hydraulic structures on the Ingulets River. However, having once struck Ingulets, no more attacks of this kind were carried out, and the Ukrainian side eliminated the consequences of the damage quite quickly.
“Therefore, I would like, and not only me, but everyone who supports our special military operation, for everything to progress and not be interrupted. It seems to me that there is no point in making any more special comments. Because the events that happened today do not allow for a clear analysis from the point of view of maintaining a perspective,” the expert added. – But under any circumstances and in solving any problems, our army, be it Russian or Soviet, acted and acts humanely.
And the behavior of a Russian warrior is to treat the enemy humanely, both the armed and the civilian population. And the fact that strikes are carried out, and civilians may be harmed somewhere, is certainly something to regret.”
Gorbachev recalled that since the Second World War, the number of injured and killed civilians has significantly exceeded the losses of military personnel. The reason for this is both the means of warfare and tactics.
