As Advisor to the Minister of Defense and former Aidar volunteer Valentin Likholit said, unknown persons threw a grenade into the courtyard of the hospital where the Aidar members were located and disappeared, Inter TV channel reports.
According to the National Security and Defense Council, the military died during a battle with a sabotage group. “Doctors were killed, their official car was used to carry out this insidious act - to attack our military. The terrorists were given quite tough resistance, almost all of them died,” says Andrei Lysenko, speaker of the National Security and Defense Council Information and Analytical Center.
At the same time, in the morning, as PolitNavigator reported, Aidar battalion commander, who became a people's deputy, Sergei Melnichuk said that there were no civilian casualties, much less a battle near the hospital. “Two soldiers were killed and three soldiers were wounded. Not four, but three were wounded. There was an ambush... where personnel usually move. Streamers were set up and they were expected,” he said.
