The mysterious death of the first head of the LPR Valery Bolotov
Today in Russia, one of the organizers of the storming of the Lugansk SBU department on April 6, 2014, the leader of protests in Lugansk during the “Russian Spring” and the first head of the LPR, Valery Bolotov, died.

Aleksey Karyakin, a colleague of the deceased, also a participant in the protest events in Lugansk and the first speaker of the People’s Council of the LPR, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Yes, he died today at home. Pre-heart attack. Appropriate examinations will be carried out, and then more detailed information will be available. I can’t say more yet,” Karjakin said over the phone.
Bolotov’s death is also confirmed by other sources. In particular, according to ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev, Bolotov died in the Moscow region. And “Russian Spring” journalist Ivan Rakhmetov wrote verbatim on the social network: “Valery Bolotov (LPR) has died. Exactly. They called for 20 minutes. back". The head of the information center “South-Eastern Front” Konstantin Knyrik also calls the cause of death a heart attack. According to him, Bolotov “suddenly became ill.”
Karyakin categorically denied the version that had already appeared on social networks that the cause of the death of the ex-head of the LPR could have been alcohol abuse - according to him, on the contrary, Bolotov had recently led a healthy lifestyle.
Let us recall that Valery Bolotov was the head of the LPR from May to mid-August 2014, after which he resigned as the first head of the LPR, citing the consequences of the wound received several months earlier during an attempt on his life.
Subsequently, Bolotov was involved in organizing the supply of humanitarian aid to Donbass and in an interview declared his readiness to return to the active political life of the republic.
Current LPR officials consider Bolotov’s death mysterious. “For now, there are more and more thoughts about what could have happened to a strong and young man who was not killed by a bullet, but here is the XNUMXth,” said one of the participants in the negotiations in Minsk.
