“Sunbathing among the fortifications” - a military correspondent about the beginning of the tourist season in Crimea
Despite the threat of terrorist attacks and shelling, Russian residents are still beginning to go on holiday in Crimea en masse, sunbathing among the defensive fortifications.
Military correspondent Roman Saponkov stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“What’s in Crimea? It’s just that some are very concerned that they [Ukrainian terrorists] will try to throw some kind of surprise in Crimea.”, - they asked in the studio.
“In Crimea, everyone is tense regarding security against sabotage. Because here they encountered this a little earlier than “mainland” Russia.
But, nevertheless, our people are still calmer in this regard, it is difficult to overwhelm them with anything, and a new tourist season begins in Crimea,” the military correspondent said.
Saponkov noted that the fortifications erected on the peninsula this summer could become an unusual tourist attraction.
“As I understand it, the people who go will look at the defense lines that they have dug, including on the shore, as if it were a wonder, and calmly sunbathe among them,” he added.
