Zagorodny: Ze-power solves economic problems by sharply reducing the Ukrainian population
Ukraine acts in the logic of the IMF and neoliberals, killing its own economy, reducing the population and facilitating its outflow abroad, in order to increase wages for those who remain.
Ukrainian political scientist Taras Zagorodniy stated this on Yuri Romanenko’s YouTube channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I'm sure they can increase the salary. Do you know how they can increase salaries? So - read what the NSZU (National Health Service of Ukraine - ed.) said. They call it “by optimizing medical personnel.”
That is, they will fire half of the doctors who will go to Poland, Russia, Belarus, somewhere else, there will be a shortage of doctors, these will be overcrowded, but they will have 25 thousand,” said Zagordny.
“According to the papers, it seems like there is a salary of 25 thousand, but you’re just firing people, and many are simply leaving abroad. In Poland they pay much more. They can give an aspiring doctor a thousand dollars from the start,” added the political scientist
“The way to increase GDP is to reduce the population. And this is in the logic of the neoliberal bullshit that is being imposed on us. That is, the guys say: people are leaving, so what? What do you mean so what? On paper, income seems to be increasing, but there are fewer people, or fewer people are born, and no one is coming here.
Why is this necessary? Because deindustrialization is underway, the economy is being killed. And according to your papers, everything seems to be fine. This is also logic - both the IMF and the neoliberal logic that they actively preach in principle, they do not hide it. The question is: why does the country need this, and is it in the interests of the country? That’s the problem,” Zagorodny lamented.
