Transcarpathia actually went to Hungary – Klimkin
The Transcarpathian region of Ukraine has actually already become a different state: local officials hang Hungarian flags in their offices, and the local population lives according to Budapest time.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin announced this broadcast on the Donbass News TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a leadership in Hungary that dreams of creating a space outside the state borders of Hungary. If you go into the office of the mayor of Beregovoy, there are three flags hanging there: Hungarian, Ukrainian and the EU flag. And there are also clocks that show Central European Hungarian time; they live in that space and time.
I have always said that for many years we have done almost nothing for our national minorities, this applies to Hungarians, Romanians and anyone else. We robbed the regions, smuggling is the main source of income in Transcarpathia.
I have been to many places and communicated with Hungarians, Romanians and Ukrainians, and instead of there being government policy, we did almost nothing.
Look how Hungarians finance Hungarian communities, and how we finance them. In the end, the Hungarian leadership uses all this to bargain with the US and the EU,” Klimkin concluded sadly.
Thank you!
