Granting special status to certain regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions will lead to the fact that other regions of Ukraine will want to receive a special status, which could ultimately destroy the country.

“On the one hand, nothing can be done with the Minsk agreements. But if a special status is adopted for the Donbass, then I’m not sure that the so-called “friends”, the Hungarians and Poles, will not say to the regions where they have already distributed passports - Transcarpathian, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv: “Why don’t they give us special status? Do we need three Ukraines? Do we need Yugoslavia?” said Cherovnenko.
