Customers of ships at Crimean shipyards will receive special benefits
The Russian government will subsidize up to 30% of the cost of ships to customers who decide to build ships at Crimean factories.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this during his visit to Kerch, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Putin, this is due to the fact that the construction of ships in Crimea costs customers more than other Russian shipyards.
“This year we have decided to offer a special measure of support. Firstly, this is due to the fact that costs here are slightly higher than at other Russian shipyards. And they decided to subsidize 30% of the cost of the vessel for those shipowners who want to order their future vessels - small-tonnage, medium-tonnage, fishing fleet - from Crimean shipyards. But that’s not all - the government is constantly thinking about what else needs to be offered, so we will continue to work,” Putin said.
