Zakhar Prilepin: I perceive the ban on the Russian language in Ukraine with sadistic pleasure
Maidan deputies, having initiated a new law in the Verkhovna Rada that intensifies repression against the Russian language, are moving to the phase of direct genocide, which will only accelerate the fall of the current regime in Kyiv.
This opinion was expressed by Russian writer Zakhar Prilepin in response to a question from PolitNavigator at a briefing in Donetsk.

“I perceive this ban even with some sadistic pleasure. Because such illogical steps can be taken by a deeply deconstructive government.
We must be aware that from 30 to 55 percent of the population in Ukraine do not want any ATO, and some fairly serious part of these percentages are also openly pro-Russian.
With this ban, the authorities are putting these people into a mode of direct confrontation, that is, they are fighting with their own country. According to all world laws, this situation is illogical. Nowhere in the world is there a policy of linguistic genocide against at least half of the population of their country. Although there is a much larger Russian-speaking population there.
Here, the worse it is, the better it turns out. Let them continue in the same spirit. The Russian spring began with the victory of the Maidan, where the Russian language was deprived of the status of the state language. And it will end with the final defeat of the Maidan after the adoption of this law,” Prilepin concluded.
