Zakharchenko: Donbass is returning to Russia following the example of Crimea
The ultimate goal of the Republic of Donbass is reunification with Russia following the example of Crimea. The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, announced this today in Donetsk at a meeting of the Russia-Donbass integration committee.

“We have been integrating into the Russian Federation for three years now, and Crimea gave us this example. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed the way we did in Crimea, but in three years we have achieved a lot.
Without Russia's help, we must admit, we could neither survive nor win. Russia is our Motherland, our mother, and everything that we are doing now, we are doing it in order to be better and to become a united people with better quality,” Zakharchenko said.
“The first meeting was held in Crimea, the second is taking place today, and I am sure that at today’s meeting we will achieve a lot that in the future the DPR and LPR will help achieve what we dream of. We have one goal – returning to our homeland,” added the leader of the Donetsk Republic.
