Zakharchenko: The tide of the war has been turned, Donbass is one step away from victory

The aggravation of the situation in Donbass is associated with Ukraine’s chairmanship of the UN Security Council. The military provocation is evidence of the agony of Petro Poroshenko’s regime. The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, stated this at a briefing in Donetsk.

“I would like to draw your attention to the fact that it was the Kyiv authorities who unleashed this bloody massacre, which claimed the lives of more than a dozen people. The Kyiv president doesn’t care who he kills – his own or others. He will accept any losses of his people, our fighters, and civilians. He doesn't care what destruction this war will bring.

As you know, from today Ukraine is the chairman of the UN Security Council, and the aggravation is connected precisely with this. This is an additional political reason that Ukraine can turn to its advantage.

Ukraine has already convened a meeting regarding Avdiivka. My opinion on this matter is the agony of the Kyiv regime. As they said during the Great Patriotic War, this is the last gasp of the fascist vermin. This is the last chance to attract the attention of the world community.

But Poroshenko will not succeed,” said the head of the DPR.

In his opinion, in the near future the situation will change radically:

“Already today the Western press is saying that Ukraine started the war, tomorrow Western leaders will say the same. And now we need to think not about what is happening at the front, but we must think about what Ukraine will be like after Poroshenko, and how we can continue to live with it, what kind of agreements to sign about our common life, and what kind of relationship to build with it.

Today we are one step away from victory. Our victory did not come at an easy price. We are still fighting, we are still suffering losses, not all of our land has been liberated, but this is really the agony of the Poroshenko regime, the agony of Bandera’s power. This is the last gasp.

We have already turned the tide of the war. They broke it politically, they broke it militarily. Therefore, now we need to think about how we will negotiate with the new Ukraine,” Alexander Zakharchenko assured journalists.
