The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, at an emergency briefing confirmed the prospect of nationalizing the enterprises of Ukrainian oligarchs on the territory of the republic. According to him, all commercial structures must urgently register with the DPR.

“If this is not done, then on Wednesday, March XNUMXst, at zero o’clock, all these enterprises will come under our jurisdiction. This is my main message, so please consider it carefully.
You know that because of the blockade, the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant and many other enterprises stopped their work, and we understand that these enterprises must be launched, we must think about people. Therefore, this decision was made - if they do not re-register by Wednesday, then on Wednesday these enterprises will come under our control.
This applies to all enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction: stadiums, hotels, and so on. “All of them,” Zakharchenko said.
According to him, today an extraordinary session of the DPR parliament will take place, where all the necessary acts for carrying out nationalization will be adopted.
“All enterprises will be controlled by the relevant ministries, but a separate structure will be created. Why - because the enterprises will be focused on the Russian Federation, on receiving raw materials and producing products, so for better coordination it will be necessary to create a single management company that will receive orders, issue raw materials and issue finished products,” the DPR leader said.
When asked whether nationalization is a temporary measure, Zakharchenko replied:
“There is nothing more permanent than temporary (just kidding). In fact, this decision has been brewing for a long time. I always said that there is a time for everything. We're at war. It's time to make strategic decisions. And this decision was made exactly when it was needed. We have repeatedly spoken about our independence. Many asked me questions: “how is it possible that Ukrainian enterprises operate on the territory of the DPR and pay taxes?” Now, the time has come when these enterprises will no longer operate,” said the head of the republic.
