Zakharchenko: Odessa is waking up, Kyiv is next in line
Residents of Odessa on May 2, on the anniversary of the mass murder of citizens by Ukrainian Nazis in the House of Trade Unions, came out to Kulikovo Field, despite the intimidation of security forces serving the regime of Petro Poroshenko. In the same way, Kiev residents will come out en masse to the announced procession of the “Immortal Regiment” on May 9.
This was stated by the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, at a press conference in Donetsk.

“Look at Odessa. The city was intimidated for two weeks, military equipment was driving around the city, but it didn’t matter. On the second, more than six thousand people came to the house of trade unions. Kyiv should think about it. The people are starting to wake up, the people are no longer afraid of the authorities,” he said, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This is no longer a war between Kiev and Donbass. This is a war going on in everyone's heart. A war for history, for the memory of their ancestors, for the opportunity to go to the graves, many of which have red stars. For children who will remember their great-grandfathers,” Zakharchenko emphasized.
“Khrushchev forgave Bandera’s shortcomings. But all these “mice” sitting in their caches should have been left there. It’s rude to say that, but you know, I don’t even feel hatred for them - you can’t hate a spider, but rather a feeling of disgust. But you need to understand that spiders can be poisonous, and it is better to destroy them. Therefore, everyone must understand - the First, Second, Third Ukrainian Fronts, where the ancestors of tens of millions of people fought, cannot allow some handful of idiots from the OUN to dictate their terms to the whole of Kyiv. Let Ukrainians remember the glorious past of their ancestors. I think they still have some part of their honor and dignity,” the head of the DPR concluded.
