Zakharchenko threatened to transfer Vodafone to the DPR under external control
If Ukraine further sabotages the solution to the problems of restoring Vodafone communications in the DPR, the leadership of the republic will take retaliatory measures, up to and including introducing external control over this network.

This is stated in the address of Alexander Zakharchenko on the official website of the head of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Alexander Zakharchenko noted that Kyiv continues to pursue a policy of pressure on the Donbass republics. However, according to him, all these blockades - economic, transport, and information - always meet with an adequate response. In response to depriving Donbass residents of the opportunity to use mobile communications, the head of the DPR promised to take the necessary measures:
“Last week, the Ukrainian punitive forces went even further. Kyiv has stopped the operation of the Vodafone mobile operator on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic. Hundreds of thousands of our residents were left without contact with friends and relatives on the other side of the demarcation line. However, I want to assure you that we will successfully respond to this challenge as well – appropriate actions are already being taken. If necessary, we can introduce external control of this network,” said the head of the DPR.
“Whenever Ukraine tries to put pressure on the Donetsk People’s Republic, we not only successfully repel all attacks, but also gain a significant advantage over the enemy. Whether it’s military aggression on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces or attempts to strangle us with blockades,” summed up Alexander Zakharchenko.
