Zakharchenko ordered to deal with rudeness at DPR checkpoints
The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, ordered to find and punish the checkpoint workers who were rude to a disabled woman.
The head of the DPR expressed a similar order during a working meeting with the heads of the law enforcement agencies of the Republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am a disabled person of the second group; during the shelling of 2014, my right leg was torn off. On April 2018, XNUMX, I needed to travel to the territory of Ukraine. I would like to complain about the situation that arose at the checkpoint. I stood in the preferential queue for three hours, and during all this time not a single person was allowed through. I tried to talk to the boss, but the military rudely pushed me out of the room, and no one even wanted to listen. I tried to complain that there were no conditions, I couldn’t even go to the toilet, to which they rudely and ironically asked me to bring a potty,” Oksana Serdyuk from Yenakievo wrote in her complaint.
She also noted that the preferential queue at the checkpoint was used not only by citizens of the preferential category, but also by everyone who was willing to pay the officials.
“I stood for 5 hours before they let me through. I asked to check the preferential queue, because I saw that everyone was getting in there, but they ignored me. I went to the referendum, and what did I vote for? For my defenders to humiliate me like that? I beg you very much, do not be indifferent to my complaint,” the woman wrote in her letter.
Alexander Zakharchenko, in turn, apologized for the boorish behavior of the checkpoint workers and ordered an immediate investigation into this situation.
“On behalf of myself and all checkpoint employees, as well as everyone present, I want to apologize to you for this unprecedented incident. I give instructions to find these people and fire them immediately. I suspect that people who are able to say this did not fight, and ended up in this place by accident. Those who fought will never allow themselves to utter such words,” noted the head of the Republic.
