Zakharchenko spoke about the main threat to Donetsk
Donetsk, October 08 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – The leader of the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, believes that the main threat to Donetsk comes from Avdeevka, where Ukrainian security forces are located.

“The airport is practically under our control. There are about 60 Ukrainian soldiers settled there, and, as far as we know, there are representatives of the “Right Sector” there, so they are not going to surrender, although we constantly offer it to them. For us now, the main threat comes from Avdeevka and the Peski microdistrict, from where artillery shelling of residential areas of Donetsk is constantly carried out. Therefore, their release is the main task for us,” Zakharchenko said.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko said that Ukrainian security forces hold the airport, so as not to retreat all the way to Lvov.
