On the third anniversary of the creation of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief of the DPR, the Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko presented the Banner to the Academy of Civil Defense of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DPR, which is part of the structure of this department, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent from Donetsk.

“Now standing in front of me are not just people in uniform, but real men’s hearts, devoted to the land and people. I stood and remembered 2014. You are probably the first ministry, the first unit that went over to the side of the people, and your tents are still serving in the army. Unfortunately, the equipment you provided in 2014 has already all perished, but it perished with honor. I can imagine how difficult it was to do my job in 2014: look at the blood, fires, destruction, go to work under fire. Only people who have a real heart can do this. I remember very well your minister, who came under fire to Shakhtersk, I remember many of your other officers, and today I am really proud that I congratulate you on your holiday, the day of the creation of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations. This is a big day for all of us. We are proud that our homes and our safety are protected by you. I am sure that in your hands nothing will ever happen to us. You can put out a fire, but you can also put it out under fire. You, just like the soldiers, are dying on your front line. If there is a need, take up arms and defend your land, like all other military personnel,” Zakharchenko noted in his congratulatory speech.
