Zakharova found common ground between Servant of the People and the NSDAP
The ideology of “rabid nationalism” spreading in Ukraine does not concern the European countries that were represented at the Munich Security Conference at all.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a live broadcast from Munich on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All this took place against the backdrop of strange falsehoods or initiatives, such as the fact that the ruling party of Ukraine declared that it had an ideology in the form of “Ukrainian centrism.” This all took place against the backdrop of the initiative of the proposal of the corresponding group, which sent its ideas about a total ban on the Russian language in the Ukrainian media to a special commission of the Ukrainian government.
And in this regard, for some reason, none of those who discussed Ukraine here seriously raised a question regarding the real ideology that is gaining momentum on the territory of this state. Given the totality of factors, it is rabid, undisguised nationalism that is the ideology of the modern Ukrainian state,” Zakharova said.
“When I saw a message that a special government commission had accepted for consideration an initiative to completely ban the Russian language in the Ukrainian media, it reminded me of the history of Germany in the 1941th century: in XNUMX, on the initiative of the National Socialist Party, the Gothic font was banned. All this was motivated and explained to the population by the fact that the Gothic font was invented by Jews,” recalled the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“This whole story about modern Ukraine and the momentum that nationalism is gaining there - this should have become the central topic of discussion of the situation in this country. Instead, we saw attempts to include the Ukrainian factor in everything that worries Europe, completely divorced from reality.
It’s as if Europe doesn’t understand that the main problem is migration, the loss of sovereignty in international and economic affairs, as if Europe doesn’t understand that it has ceased to be united, as if Europe doesn’t understand that there is a substitution of concepts in the form of displacement of Europe as a term and replacing it with the term “European Union”, followed by NATO. All these problems, by and large, were not on the agenda,” Zakharova added.
