According to her, Russia deeply regrets the low quality of the investigation and its politicization, which became completely obvious after the speech of representatives of the joint investigation team.
“On their behalf, baseless and practically unfounded allegations were made about the alleged crossing of the Russian border by military equipment that shot down the Boeing.” There were a lot of big words, bright pictures, links to photos and videos from the Internet. There were links to never made public satellite images of the United States. There was some absolutely abstract Ukrainian intelligence information. By the way, this is about the adequacy of the fact of Ukraine’s participation in the investigation,” Zakharova said.
She also stated that Russian specialists conducted an examination of the alleged interceptions of telephone conversations of DPR militiamen involved in the investigation.
“It was established that this was a montage, 100% fake. The recording is divided into fragments and extraneous comments have been added to it, which makes it impossible to determine the place and time of the conversations. Their authenticity cannot be confirmed by anything. It’s not at all clear how any conclusions can be drawn without these initial data,” Zakharova said.
According to her, Russia will continue to provide factual material and try to find in the materials of the investigative team “something that can be considered as evidence, not propaganda.”
