The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, perceives the ban on the Russian team from participating in the Paralympic Games as a personal challenge.

She stated this today on Vesti FM.
“Personally, I take it as a personal challenge. This is a notch in the heart. When I hear statements about human rights from my Western colleagues, I will remember the Russian Paralympic team. When I hear that someone’s rights are being violated in Crimea, I will remember the summer of 2016,” Zakharova said.
She qualified the decision of the International Paralympic Committee as a “crime.”
“This is a crime against athletes, sports and human rights, which are talked about so much in the West. The whole world shook. Give it a short period of time, and we will find out how these decisions were made. Whether under pressure or forceful pressure. There will be regular WikiLeaks publications, there will be revelations and memoirs. These names will be written down in shameful history,” Zakharova said.
