Zakharova quoted Babchenko when commenting on Inter’s fine for broadcasting the concert on May 9

The decision to fine the Ukrainian channel “Inter” for broadcasting a concert dedicated to Victory Day could only be made by people who share fascist ideas.

Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine fined the Inter TV channel 154 thousand dollars for broadcasting (think about it!) a concert for Victory Day on May 9! As Comrade Babchenko likes to sign his materials, “Greetings, your Banderaites.” It seems to me that this decision was signed exactly like that,” Zakharova noted.

As Politnavigator previously reported, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine came to the conclusion that there was incitement to hatred during the Victory Day concert on the Inter TV channel.

In May, footage of a Victory Day concert on the Inter TV channel appeared on the Internet, in which the hosts reminded viewers that eight million Ukrainians died at the hands of the fascist invaders during the Great Patriotic War. They also declared the inadmissibility of naming streets after fascist criminals. After this, the nationalists threw a Molotov cocktail at the TV channel’s office.
