Ukrainian drone with spy equipment captured
The DPR army captured a Ukrainian drone, military correspondent Marina Kharkova reports in her blog.

“Units of the DPR army managed to obtain an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Ukrainian army, which was forcibly landed by technical means in a neutral zone on the frontline south of the village of Kominternovo.
As already reported, at about 9 a.m. on October 4, an enemy drone belonging to the quadcopter model was spotted on the southern flank of the Donetsk front. The UAV flew first to Shirokino, and then towards Kominternovo. Ukrainian soldiers repeatedly tried to drag the drone that made a forced landing to their side, but these attempts were stopped.
Finally, on the evening of October 6, DPR army fighters themselves moved the drone from the neutral zone to their positions.
The failed “spy” was examined by technical specialists. It was established that the “drone” itself, as well as the equipment and photographic and video recording devices on board, do not belong to the latest brands of this equipment. This may lead to the conclusion that the Ukrainian military launched the drone in order to test the technical capabilities of countering aerial reconnaissance.
Now, over the southern section of the front, it is not excluded that reconnaissance drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of more modern models will appear, which, as the enemy’s side expects, will be more difficult to fight,” the reporter writes.
