This was announced on his Facebook page by Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Tymchuk.
“Currently, ammunition is being loaded and combat aircraft captured at the Belbek airfield are being refueled.
Previously, the Russian side transferred to Ukraine 37 Ukrainian aircraft captured in Crimea, mostly technically faulty. When it came to transferring serviceable aircraft, the Russians abruptly stopped the transfer process,” the expert wrote.
According to his information, 9 MiG-29s are currently prepared for use at the Belbek airfield: 7 combat, 2 combat training. These aircraft have Ukrainian identification marks and are equipped with a “friend or foe” identification system used in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“According to our data, some of these aircraft are being prepared for use from the territory of Crimea, some will be transferred to Russian territory - to airfields in the Rostov region,” concludes Dmitry Tymchuk.
