Donbass, captured by the Ukrainian army, was too tough for Bandera’s followers
Residents of the part of Donbass, which the Ukrainian army managed to capture in 2014, do not feel part of Ukraine, despite the hanging of Ukrainian flags by order, the presence of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers and the policy of forced Ukrainization.
The chairman of the youth wing of the pro-Bandera party “People's Rukh” Andrei Rybalko said this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last week I returned from the Ukrainian-controlled territory of Donbass, from those cities that were liberated in 2014. As a person who worked in the civil service in the field of national-patriotic education, I was very unpleasantly surprised that we still do not have a holistic worldview system that would unite all Ukrainians.
Because, having liberated the occupied territories, a Ukrainian soldier stood there, a blue-yellow flag was raised there, there are Ukrainian police officers and the Ukrainian administration, but, unfortunately, we were not able to build such a holistic cultural policy so that a resident of Donbass understands why Donbass is Ukraine, not in slogans, but in the soul. I understood my importance as a Ukrainian in Ukraine,” the nationalist said.
