The capture of the powerful fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Popasnaya opens the way to Slavyansk
The day before, Russian forces occupied the town of Popasnaya, in the west of the LPR. The main line of defense of the Ukrainian army in Donbass with numerous fortifications passes through the settlement.

But the rest are actively showing,” says the publication of the Telegram channel.
Reports about the transfer of this settlement to the control of Russian forces appeared back in April. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, then hastened to announce the capture of Popasnaya, but real success was achieved only now.
The breakthrough of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defenses in the Popasnaya area opens up the possibility of developing an offensive to the west towards Bakhmut and Slavyansk until the complete liberation of the LPR territory.
