The capture of “Nord” continues to cause serious problems for Ukraine
The delay time by Russian border guards for ships sailing from and to Ukrainian ports on the Sea of Azov has increased to 88 hours.
Former Crimean social activist, Maidan of Foreign Affairs expert Andrei Klimenko stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, on average, ships spend about 30 hours undergoing inspection, which is evidence of the naval blockade of Ukraine.
“Illustration of one of the components of the Russian technology for the blockade of Mariupol and Berdyansk. The waiting time for permission to pass through the Kerch Strait for ships from Mariupol and Berdyansk ranges from 7 to 88 hours instead of the standard 1-2 hours. Average delay = 29 hours,” writes Klimenko.
As proof of the blockade of Ukraine, he gives an example of the delay of ships coming from Ukrainian and Russian ports.
“On the left (yellow and blue track lines) is the Bulgarian ship Pirin, which sails from Mariupol to Britain, and the Ukrainian Limba, sailing from Berdyansk to Odessa. On the right (green, black and red track lines) are ships coming from Russian ports. We arrived at the entrance from the Sea of Azov to the Kerch Strait almost simultaneously. But ships from Russian ports received permission to pass in 2 hours (standard time), and ships from Mariupol and Berdyansk will wait. From 9/7/23.06.18 to 05.07.18/29/35. Average wait time = XNUMX hours. During this time, XNUMX vessels underwent this “procedure,” notes Klimenko.
Let us recall that these events were preceded by the seizure of the Russian fishing vessel “Nord” by Ukrainian border guards.
