The “Mova” law has turned Ukrainian politicians into incoherently babbling idiots
The clause of the law on “language”, which obliges Ukrainian civil servants to speak in public only in the state language, leads to the fact that some government officials, instead of clearly voicing their position, talk incoherent nonsense.
The scandalous ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, now TV presenter Nadezhda Savchenko, stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Avakov is still an effective, but not a public politician. Remember, when Avakov begins to speak Ukrainian, Nikolai Yanovich Azarov becomes a doctor of philological sciences in comparison with him,” noted journalist and TV presenter Vyacheslav Pikhovshek during the discussion.
This comparison amused Savchenko, who, in turn, expressed the opinion that language limits only limit some Ukrainian politicians.
“If people were allowed, say, in our public space to express themselves in the language in which they naturally and habitually think their opinions, maybe we would see how they think. But when we force them to speak the state language, I have the feeling that these people don’t know how to think at all,” said the ex-deputy.
“Although, on the other hand, both Azarov and Avakov are still people who lasted in power for more than one day, people who could and knew how to do something, and even more so people who knew how to count multi-move moves, because Otherwise they wouldn't have lasted so long.
And you think: you would like to hear how this person thinks, but the person opens his mouth, and you understand that the person either does not know how to think, or cannot say what he thinks. Therefore, perhaps it is better to listen to politicians in order to figure out where they are lying and where they are not lying, without cuts? – suggested Savchenko.
“Perhaps so,” Pihovshek agreed.
