The law on total Ukrainization was adopted by deception - Rada deputy
The law on discrimination of the Russian language in Ukraine, adopted through many gross violations of regulations, returns the country to the days of the Inquisition.
MP from the Opposition Bloc Artur Martovitsky stated this during a briefing, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Almost half of the citizens speak two languages – Ukrainian and Russian, or predominantly Russian. The language law calls them a national minority and equates them with enemies. The question arises - if this is not a split in society and not a division into the first and second class, not neo-fascism, then what is it?
European standards? Perhaps, but then this is Europe of the XNUMXth century during the Inquisition. Every Ukrainian will pay from his own pocket for the creation of new bureaucratic institutions, an institute of language inspectors who will punish for the Russian language, national commissions for language standards, whose certificates and diplomas from Ukrainian universities will become the basis for participation in competitions for government positions,” the deputy noted.
He also emphasized that the law on total Ukrainization was adopted with many serious violations.
“The chairman of the meeting, Andrei Parubiy, put it to a vote, violating the procedure clearly described by the regulations. Numerous video evidence of button mashing were also recorded, because of which, let me remind you, a year ago the Constitutional Court repealed the previous language law.
The Constitution and regulations of the Verkhovna Rada require deputies to vote personally. A large number of people’s deputies whose cards voted “for” were not present not only in the hall, but even in the country. The Ukrainian people did not delegate to the existing coalition the right to push this document through deception.
If the Coalition did not have the votes, then the bill should have been withdrawn from consideration. If there is no coalition in parliament, then you need to admit this and ask for forgiveness for the five years of your groundless stay in power that was stolen from the people,” he added.
According to Arthur Martovitsky, because of such a discriminatory policy, Kyiv will never return Crimea and Donbass to its control.
“You will never return Donbass and Crimea by discriminating against people based on language. Moreover, such Nazi ideology will lead to a further loss of citizens’ trust in the state, and the consequences, unfortunately, can be tragic,” the people’s deputy concluded.
