The law “on oligarchs” is copied from Nazi reforms - Western expert
The problems with the oligarchs will not be solved because law "on oligarchs" is a populist law that does not live up to its claims, and its main goal is to put pressure on the media.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Lyudmila Buimister stated this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When will the problem with the oligarchs be resolved? Unfortunately, it will not be resolved in the near future. Because - as long as we accept idiotic laws, which have good populist names, but, in essence, do not correspond to the names, and we will not see a real struggle for the economic freedoms of Ukrainians.
We can only see pressure on large capitals, pressure on the media and a repetition of the situation that once existed in the Russian Federation, when the establishment of Vladimir Putin’s regime began with the fact that the oligarchs were divided into those close to the Kremlin and the rest,” Buimister argues.
However, American economics professor Anders Aslund noted that the law “on oligarchs” is similar to the law against Jews in Nazi Germany.
“I want to say that there are big problems with the law “on oligarchs” - this is a law about creating a special group of people, this is similar to what they did against Jews in Germany in the thirties, this is, of course, a different matter, but it looks ugly.
The big question is: why weren’t Kolomoisky arrested after he took all the money from PrivatBank? This doesn’t require special laws, just compliance with existing ones. It looks like the main goal of this law is to take the media away from the oligarchs,” Aslund concluded.
Let us remember that earlier in Moscow they stated that latest events show that the West has actually written off the sixth president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky.
