Zelensky’s legislation is killing Ukraine – SBU general
The Ukrainian parliament will not help restore the country’s destroyed economy, because all its legislative activity is aimed at servicing the IMF and obtaining new loans.
Ex-presidential candidate and ex-head of the SBU Igor Smeshko said this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Where are these 2 million jobs? The program of the new government has not yet been approved; this is nonsense from the point of view of the Constitution, which states that we are a democratic country.
Look at the activities of our parliament, which is now voting laws that do not in any way affect the survival of our country. In general, we can give many examples when laws are voted on under the pretext that otherwise the IMF will not give us a loan.
So, our national idea is to take on debt, eat it, and stay in power? How will we boost the economy, how will we finance education, science, culture, medicine? How will we protect the environment, how will we arm our army if we don’t have a locomotive?” he said indignantly.
The former head of the SBU emphasized that due to the lack of a clear program for the restoration and development of the economy, Ukraine continues to degrade, and its specialists are leaving en masse to work in Europe.
“The Drohobych Medical Lyceum, a former school, has been working 100% practically for Poland for several years. A government institution that trains specialists, Poland takes 100% of its graduates, but we prepare them!
And what government programs are there in the economy, how are we going to move away sectorally from the disastrous model that we have followed since 1991, with dozens of the most developed countries in the world, which produced missiles, satellites, and aircraft carriers. Where is the program now?” Smeshko is indignant.
