Closing borders is not a punishment, but an opportunity for Russia
The closure of borders and scientific contacts with Russia initiated by the West provides a chance for the revival of education and medicine.
Political scientist Sergei Serebrennikov stated this at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Once upon a time, the respected President of the United States of America said that Russia, of course, won the war and the confrontation due to quality education. Education and science are the very drivers of mobilization development. They are very important to us now.
The discussion that began in society about a careful return to the Soviet education system, the re-creation of a specialty for engineering specialties, and for everyone else. In my opinion, this is the real key to success in promoting technological sovereignty.
The same applies to the topic of healthcare - a very good factor. I believe that if foreign countries are further closed to those who wish to be treated in Europe or in other countries with a high level of medical quality, this should give impetus to the development of medicine.
We all remember that Soviet pharmacology and Soviet medical technologies were among the best in the world, and many were later transferred, sold, and the mechanism of joint research was inherited by other countries.
That is, in general, closing borders and limiting access to the education and healthcare systems in other countries will give a serious impetus to the development of this in the country,” Serebrennikov said.
