So far, Aeroflot has not received official notification of the suspension of flights from the Ukrainian aviation authorities. According to international aviation rules, only the aviation authorities of that state can ban flights into a country. As soon as Aeroflot receives an official notification from the Ukrainian aviation authorities about the cancellation of flights, the company will notify its passengers about this and explain the rules for refunds for previously purchased air tickets,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
As PolitNavigator reported, Today, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, decided to ban flights of Russian airlines, primarily Aeroflot and Transaero, to Ukraine, as well as transit flights of Russian airlines through the territory of Ukraine if they carry military, dual-use or Russian military goods.
In the State Aviation Service reported that Russian airlines, which were subject to sanctions in accordance with the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, will not be able to fly to Ukraine from October 25, 2015.
