Closed opinion polls: Vakarchuk is becoming a serious competitor to Poroshenko

According to him, in March, sociologists recorded Vakarchuk’s rating at 12,3%, that of the current head of state Petro Poroshenko – 13,2%, and that of ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko – 12,9%.
“This is, of course, not random information. Random names do not end up on sociologists’ questionnaires,” emphasizes Shvets.
In his opinion, Vakarchuk can be used as a promising political project against the backdrop of disappointment among the Ukrainian population in the old Maidan leaders.
“People are ready: “Vakarchuk? Let’s go Vakarchuk!” And immediately in the top three. This means investing a little and highlighting some unerased figure - and goodbye to Petya, Yulia, Yura and Oleg,” says Shvets in his blog.
Previously, Vakarchuk spent several months studying in the United States under a program for young Ukrainian leaders at Stanford.
Vakarchuk was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from Viktor Yushchenko’s nationalist Our Ukraine party in 2007-2008, but resigned early, saying that he preferred to study music.
Vakarchuk is an active participant in the coups d’etat on the Maidan in 2004 and 2014.
