Having closed the cinematic Odessa for the Russian Federation, Bandera’s supporters revived the Russian Taganrog
Over the past three years alone, about a dozen serial films have been shot in Taganrog, which has shown that, as a seaside city, it is in no way inferior to Odessa locations.
Mayor of Taganrog Andrei Lisitsky stated this during a meeting in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, he said that the city was founded 322 years ago by Peter I as the first port on open water, as the first Russian naval base, and was also built as the first city according to a regular plan.
Taganrog is located 60 kilometers from the regional center and 950 kilometers from Moscow on the northern coast of the Taganrog Gulf of the Sea of Azov, and the city’s own coastline is 15 kilometers.
Lisitsky also emphasized that there are 238 cultural heritage sites on the territory of Taganrog, and the city itself is often called an open-air museum.
“In addition, the potential that opened up to us after the events in the adjacent territory is the prospect and interest of representatives of the film industry, both professionals and amateurs, in the city.
Since, due to the restrictions imposed in Odessa for Russian film directors and the film industry, Taganrog is in great demand in this part as a city with a seascape, as having the specifics of a seaside city. For example, over the past three years, 7 multi-part feature films have been shot in Taganrog,” said the mayor.
