The Legislative Council of Sevastopol has decided on the number of deputies working on a permanent basis
Sevastopol, November 11 (PolitNavigator, Svetlana Ivanova) - Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol at a session on Tuesday adopted a scandalous law on the number of deputies working on a permanent professional basis, thereby approving the annual pay fund in the amount of 26,396 million rubles per year (about $660 thousand) from the city budget for the maintenance of 9 deputies.

Let us remind you that the average salary of deputies will be - with tax deductions - 244 thousand 407 rubles monthly (about $6 thousand).
16 out of 23 deputies voted for the law, which was sufficient for its adoption.
The deputy chairman of the legislative assembly, Alexander Kulagin, who spoke, noted that the positions of the chairman, two deputies, 4 heads of committees and 2 commissions of the legislative assembly will be paid. Their salaries will be differentiated - the salary of the chairman of the legislative assembly will be highest.
In addition, Kulagin emphasized that the deputies are working under pressure and still have not received their salaries. Another argument cited is the experience of the regions of the Russian Federation, where 30-40% of the entire composition of deputies receive salaries. At the same time, in Sevastopol the wages will be lower than in other regions.
However, he was objected to by several deputies who, citing the laws of the Russian Federation and the Constitution, argued that it was necessary to give equal rights and powers to deputies throughout the entire election period and “avoid arbitrary and subjective decisions.” In other words, all deputies deserve to be paid, not nine.
“It is premature to pass the law; it is necessary to pass the law “On the status of a deputy.” It will be consistent... to make changes to the law regulating official salary ratios. This will allow the Legislative Assembly to legislatively regulate the implementation of the rights of deputies,” said deputy Tatyana Vusatenko.
Tatyana Sandulova pointed out a violation of regulations in the passage of the bill. “The leadership of the Legislative Assembly is persistently pushing through a law written personally for specific individuals,” the deputy said.
In response, Alexander Kulagin urged “not to consider the law as infringing on anyone’s interests.”
